Bordeaux Wine Tasting at The Secret Cellar

On Church Road, The Secret Cellar will be offering tasters of some of their best Bordeaux bottles for you to enjoy. Pop in throughout the day from 9.30am-6pm, and sample a selection of the shop’s finest French fancies, while learning more about the world-famous wine-making region.

Biscuit Time! A History of Local Biscuit Making at Camden Centre

A journey back into the town’s foodie heritage. The once world-famous Romary biscuits began in Royal Tunbridge Wells and this is your chance to learn more about the history and relation to the town at the Camden Centre.

Harvest Food Festival on The Pantiles

A true celebration of all things local. Packed full of producers, food, drink and demonstrations from some of the best in Kent, this vibrant display of the new harvest is a seasonal array of flavours to tingle the taste buds. Top it all off with the iconic setting of The Pantiles, and you have an ultimate Royal Tunbridge Wells food experience.

Foraging Walk with Wild Feast

Led by Wild Feast owner Sarah Watson, participants will learn to identify edible wild plants that can be found in The Garden of England and harvest them in a sustainable way. Perfect for the adventurous foodie or those enamoured with the beautiful countryside, this is an exploration of the local area as you’ve never experienced it before, and can be booked here.

Gin Wild Cocktail Demonstration

Head to the Pantiles Bandstand to see experienced foraging tutor Sarah Watson of Wild Feast demonstrate how to make a wild cocktail. Using gin and seasonal, wild ingredients sourced locally, she’ll reveal what goes into creating a truly hand-crafted mix that’s sure to impress guests at your next drinks reception!

Pop-up Restaurant at The Secret Cellar

Savour some stunning food created specially by Purple Pumpkin Catering at The Secret Cellar’s ever-popular Pop-up Restaurant. Complete with equally wonderful wine pairings, this is set to be a dining experience to remember, and can be booked here. Tickets are £50 each for food only; wines are an additional cost, and will be charged on the night.

Immerse yourself in the wine flight of a lifetime at Gusta on Camden Road. In this continental dining experience, you’ll sample a selection of beautiful Sicilian wines, with the very best Italian dishes to match.

Fire-n-Crust takeover at The Grove Café

Have you ever tried Cubanos before? These delicious Cuban sandwiches - toasted on the plancha - are a must-try for anyone after an exotic kick to their foodie experience, and will be served up at The Grove Café by mobile artisan wood-fired pizza and grill purveyors Fire-n-Crust. With Cuba Libres and other rum-based cocktails available too, you’ll feel like you’ve travelled across the world!

Royal Tunbridge Wells Food and Drink Festival

Head to Calverley Grounds for Royal Tunbridge Wells Food and Drink Festival, with two days of free family-friendly activities shining a spotlight on Kent-based artisan producers and chefs. From detailed cooking demos, to delicious food and family activities, this is guaranteed foodie fun in the very heart of the town. Located just opposite the mainline train station, it’s an easy journey if you’re travelling from further afield too.

Oyster Shucking Masterclass with Matthew Sankey

Learn the art of oyster shucking from Matthew Sankey in the picturesque location of The Old Fishmarket on The Pantiles. Following its opening in 2013, Matthew and his team have become the go-to seafood destination in town, and now he’s offering the opportunity to get involved with an engaging masterclass, where you’ll learn how to safely prepare this fishy delicacy - and tuck into it afterwards! Fuggles have joined forces with award-winning chef Will Devlin of the The Small Holding in Kilndown, who will be cooking in the beer café’s kitchen for one day only! Food Allergen Awareness for local businesses

Royal Tunbridge Wells Together is working with Mid Kent Environmental Health, Kent County Council Trading Standards, and Allergy UK to deliver free Safe Food Workshops for local businesses. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from the experts how to manage food allergens and maintain a high food hygiene rating. The workshop is suitable for catering staff of all levels, including chefs, waiting teams, managers and business owners, covering practical training on food allergen controls, how the food hygiene rating system works, and how to achieve and maintain a 5-star rating.

Tickets can be requested by emailing, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, with priority given to BID levy-paying businesses. If numbers are high, they will look to add more dates to accommodate as many businesses as possible. A maximum of two tickets can be booked per business.

Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent


Royal Tunbridge Wells is a charming spa town located in The Garden of England just south of London.

Get here by car

Royal Tunbridge Wells is located where the A26 and A21 main roads meet. Both these A-roads run between London and the South Coast.

The area can be accessed from the M20 and M25 motorways too, within 20 minutes by car.

Get here by rail

Tunbridge Wells is on a mainline Southeastern railway from London Charing Cross to Hastings. Direct services run at least every half hour calling at London Bridge, London Waterloo East, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.

Services take approximately one hour from London Charing Cross. There are also connecting services to Gatwick Airport and Ashford and Ebbsfleet International stations for the Eurostar.
